25 apr 2024 · Allegedly, Joe Manganiello was to appear as Deathstroke in Ben Affleck's solo Batman flick, but that never came to fruition. He's definitely got the look down and has one of the best-looking live-action adaptations of Deathstroke's costume to date. Unfortunately, he never got a chance to really shine in the role.

24 apr 2024 · This wouldn’t be the first time that Manganiello’s collaborations with Snyder didn’t end up panning out, as the actor previously appeared briefly as Deathstroke in Snyder’s now-defunct DCEU. Manganiello barely got a cameo as Deathstroke, so we didn’t really get to see him have a chance at that character.

The project was greenlit after Evans impressed executives with his pitch.
