Aniston was born Ioannis Anastasakis on the Greek island of Crete. When he was two years old, his parents migrated to the United States, bringing with them Aniston and his two sisters. Aniston's father anglicized the family name (Anastasakis) to the Americanized version of "Aniston" and opened a family restaurant in Chester, PA.
