10 apr 2024 · Lee Strasberg (born November 17, 1901, Budzanów, Poland, Austria-Hungary [now Budanov, Ukraine]—died February 17, 1982, New York, New York, U.S.) was a theatre director, teacher, and actor, known as the chief American exponent of “method acting,” in which actors are encouraged to use their own emotional experience and memory in preparing to “live” a role.

METHOD ACTING. At the core of the Strasberg curriculum are the Method Acting classes. Students are required to take two Method Acting classes per 10- or 12-week term, each with a different teacher.
