  4. 10 feb 2023 · Louise was the only daughter of Augustus, Duke of Saxe-Gotha-Altenburg and his first wife Louise Charlotte of Mecklenburg-Schwerin, daughter of Friedrich Franz I, Grand Duke of Mecklenburg-Schwerin and Louise of Saxe-Gotha (her namesake). In Gotha on 31 July 1817 Louise married her kinsman Ernst I, Duke of Saxe-Coburg-Saalfeld.

  5. 21 dic 2019 · Princess Louise of Saxe-Gotha-Altenburg was born on 21 December 1800 as the daughter of Augustus, Duke of Saxe-Gotha-Altenburg and his first wife Louise Charlotte of Mecklenburg-Schwerin. Her mother never recovered from the childbirth and died just 11 days later on 4 January 1801.

  6. Early life. Born on 19 November 1779 in the Duchy of Mecklenburg-Schwerin, Duchess Louise Charlotte was the second child and eldest surviving daughter of Frederick Francis I, Grand Duke of Mecklenburg-Schwerin, and his wife, Princess Louise of Saxe-Gotha-Altenburg .

  7. Description. Louise Leopoldine von Meyern Hohenburg (1815-65) was born in Coburg and remained in her hometown throughout most of her life. Her career spanned the sister arts of sculpture and painting. As a local artist, she executed several portraits of the family of Duke Ernst I of Saxe Coburg, including a notable group likeness of 1842.
