We 've taken this idea with our goal to expand to the Moon, and have developed our version, the LunaSat. Our small, yet powerful LunaSats can collect temperature, magnetic field, acceleration , capacitor, thermopile, and inertial measurements on the harsh environment of the lunar surface for six lunar hour s, or approximately 7 Earth days .
Inspired by NASA's Apollo Moon landings over 50 years ago, the Great Lunar Expedition for Everyone (GLEE) will be a catalyst for a new generation of space missions and explorers. This scientific and technological mission to the Moon will deploy hundreds LunaSats to the lunar surface to conduct local and distributed science missions.
The LunaSat comes equipped with solar panels, a temperature sensor, an accelerometer, a magnetometer, a capacitive sensor, a thermopile, and radio frequency.
