By the last summer Carina visits, Maya is well and truly crushing on the beautiful 19 year old Italian, who is oblivious to the 15 year old’s crush.
“Like mother like daughter, I guess,” Carina says with a proud smile on her face. She really couldn’t believe it. It felt like fate when it was announced the games were being held in Italy. The Deluca-Bishop family came to Italy every summer to visit Carina’s family in Sicily so it was perfect.
