Michael Cole became a household name with his five-year role as Pete Cochrane, one-third of the leading trio in the hit crime series "The Mod Squad." When he wasn't investigating the underworld as a hip undercover cop, Cole guest-starred on many 1970s TV series including "The Love Boat" and "The New Adventures of Wonder Woman."

Michael Cole (born July 3, 1940) is an American actor. He is best known for his role as Pete Cochran on the television crime drama The Mod Squad (1968–1973). He is the surviving member of the original cast.
From 2013 to 2017, Cole starred as John Shelby in the historical crime drama Peaky Blinders. In 2017, he starred in a season 4 episode of Charlie Brooker's Black Mirror, earning a BAFTA nomination for Best Actor. For his role as Billy Moore in A Prayer Before Dawn, Cole won Best Actor at the 2018 British Independent Film Awards. [5]
