Synopsis. In the English coastal city of Brighton a policeman, Tom Burgess and a school teacher named Marion fall in love. Set in the 1950s, the romance plays out as expected until the arrival of museum curator Patrick whose passion ignites a secret affair with Tom. As homosexuality was illegal in the UK, there is much for Tom and Patrick to lose.
