Namor McKenzie (/ ˈ n eɪ m ɔːr /), also known as Namor the Sub-Mariner, or simply Namor, is a character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by writer-artist Bill Everett for comic book packager Funnies Inc., the character first appeared in Motion Picture Funnies Weekly #1 (uncirculated).
King Namor McKenzie, a.k.a. the Sub-Mariner, is the ruler of Atlantis. Born as a hybrid mutant son of a human father and an Atlantean princess, Namor's first interaction with the human world came when he joined the Invaders to fight against the Axis powers during World War II.
In the comics, Namor McKenzie, also called the Sub-Mariner, is the son of human sea captain Leonard McKenzie and the Atlantean princess Fen, who possesses winged feet as a result of his mutant genetics.

Biography. The hybrid mutant son of an Atlantean and a human, Prince Namor, the Sub-Mariner, is alternately loved and hated by Earth's surface population—often depending on his actions.
