She has soft pale white skin and large, almond shaped eyes the color of bright gold (which earns her the title Golden-Eyed Commander of Wishes). Her eyebrows are two arched lines of sepia-colored India ink, yet her long hair is as white as snow. She wears a formal silk gown of pure white and sits on a round satin couch of many cushions. As explained by Morla the Aged One, her lifetime is not measured in years, but by names, which only the imagination of a human child can give her.

In the films, her hair is dark, rather than white, and in the first film, she is dressed like a bride. In the first film, she wears a pearl headpiece and a chiffon and tulle dress with a lace bodice and silver beaded skirt.
The Neverending Story
In the cartoon series, the Childlike Empress has golden hair and wears a green gown.
In the movie, the name Bastian gives to her is nearly drowned out by thunder, either by design or simply bad sound editing. However, careful listening reveals that the name chosen by Bastian is “Moon Child”, a reference to his mother whom he discusses with his father as either missing or deceased at the beginning of the film.
Gender. Male. Bastian Balthazar Bux is described as a lonely boy, about 10 or 12 years old, who is raised by his father and still mourning the sudden death of his mother (she died of an unspecified illness). He is considered a dreamer, who is shunned by other children due to his immense imagination.

Tami Stronach - Wikipedia. Tami Stronach (born mid-1972) is an actor, dancer, filmmaker, and professor. A childhood performance as the Childlike Empress in the 1984 film The NeverEnding Story led to a record deal and music video in Germany. After receiving inappropriate attention as a young star, Stronach pivoted to dancing.
Tami Stronach. Actress: The NeverEnding Story. She is half-Scottish (father) and half-Israeli (mother). Her father, Professor David Stronach, was a notable expert on Persian antiquities. The family had to flee Persia/Iran during the Revolution. They went to Israel, then to America where Tami is still based.
