11 ott 2016 · Panoramio chiuderà definitivamente il 5 novembre 2016. Il motivo è il voler concentrare tutti gli sforzi nel migliorare l'esperienza di condivisione diretta delle immagini su Google Maps, senza dover passare per un ulteriore strumento. Ecco come recuperare le proprie immagini
Panoramio nacque nell'estate del 2005 ad opera degli spagnoli Joaquín Cuenca Abela e Eduardo Manchón Aguilar. È stato lanciato ufficialmente il 3 ottobre del 2005 e dal 19 marzo del 2007 ha raggiunto oltre 1 milione di foto caricate dagli utenti.

Running a Warrior
You can start up a Warrior and there select Panoramio. (If you don't really care what you are archiving, select ArchiveTeam's Choiceinstead, as at some points ArchiveTeam may prioritize another project.)
Running the script manually

Panoramio was a geo-located tagging, photo sharing mashup active between 2005 and 2016. Photos uploaded to the site were accessible as a layer in Google Earth and Google Maps . [1] [2] The site's goal was to allow Google Earth users to learn more about a given area by viewing the photos that other users had taken at that location. [1]

Google ha deciso di chiudere definitivamente Panoramio una volta per tutte. Il servizio continuerà fino al 4 novembre 2016. Chi ha caricato foto nella piattaforma le potrà esportare fino al 2017, collegare al profilo Google, o caricare in altra piattaforma.
