The group was known as one of the youngest psych-rock bands of their area at the time, with a 16-year-old Randy Hammon as lead guitarist, who was the cousin of Blue Cheer drummer Paul Whaley.

Cory Hanson’s (from Wand) latest album WESTERN CUM is the best rock guitar album in years, imo. It’s technical but doesn’t sacrifice musicality, and really pushes the boundaries of guitar in interesting and exciting ways. Epic guitar solos galore on that one — esp Driving (the whole thing is basically a guitar solo lol).
