These helicopters are flown by the No.1 Flying Training School at RAF Shawbury, a tri-service school. Basic training is provided by 660 Squadron Army Air Corps and 705 Naval Air Squadron.

7 mag 2024 · In 2000, Bob was posted to the University of Birmingham Air Squadron at RAF Cosford, where he spent three years teaching university students how to fly the Bulldog and Tutor training aircraft. He then chose to fly helicopters at RAF Shawbury and was posted to 22 Squadron, Search and Rescue Flight at Wattisham airfield in Suffolk, where he flew the yellow Seaking helicopter.

13 mag 2024 · John would take the concrete swan, R66, for a trip of over 90 minutes and whilst everyone enjoyed their flying we lastly welcomed Myndie Doug for some aerotow training with Colin. An experinced pilot, Doug was let loose with R46 and managed a wonderful soaring trip of 56 mins.
