6 feb 2022 · Raul Julia had completed work on one last film before his unexpected death in 1994. Here's what it was and why he signed on in the first place.
Julia starred in the original Broadway production of Harold Pinter's Betrayal (1979). He also starred in revivals of Design for Living (1984), Othello (1991), and his final Broadway role Man of La Mancha (1994). Julia gained prominence for his role as Gomez Addams in two film adaptations of The Addams Family.
His last theatrical movie was filmed shortly after The Burning Season: The Chico Mendes Story (1994) when he traveled to Australia to shoot all of his scenes for Street Fighter (1994), based on the popular video game where he played the villainous General M. Bison.

3 gen 2017 · Julia was far too good an actor for Street Fighter but his commitment to the role cannot be questioned. The then 54-year-old only agreed to be in the film on the request of his children, who were fans of the game and helped him to prepare for the role of the evil warlord M Bison.
