There are six different traineeship programmes which involve young people in the S&D Group’s work. The duration of our traineeships is five months. Due to the 2024 European elections, applications for traineeships starting in mid-September 2024 will open in March, and applications for traineeships starting in mid-February 2025 will open in October.
The Parliament acts as a co-legislator, sharing with the Council the power to adopt and amend legislative proposals and to decide on the EU budget.
