San Antonio è invece una città importante storicamente, in quanto vi è stata combattuta la guerra di indipendenza del Texas. Houston invece è una città moderna, la quinta in grandezza in tutti gli U.S.A, proprio per la sua vivacità multiculturale è una meta da non perdere.
Altri importanti scali sono quelli di San Antonio, El Paso ed Austin. Va ricordato che comunque quasi tutte le città più importanti dello Stato hanno un qualche tipo di scalo aeroportuale. Infatti, in presenza dello stesso Austin nel maggio del 1834, il Congresso, pur respingendo la proposta di separazione tra Coahuila e Texas, approvò una mozione che prevedeva che il Texas fosse diviso in tre dipartimenti (San Antonio, San Felipe, Nacogdoches) con un conseguente aumento del numero di deputati all'assemblea statale e la possibilità di inviare tre deputati al Congresso federale.
