3 giorni fa · On the way down to central Louisiana, I began traveling the Solomon Northup Trail, stopping first at the port in Alexandria where Solomon disembarked a steamboat and began his trek on foot to the Ford Plantation. I put myself in his shoes, feeling the fear, hurt and anger I’m certain embraced him in the moment.
