www .shhs .gdst .net. South Hampstead High School is a private day school in Hampstead, north-west London, England, which was founded by the Girls' Day School Trust (GDST). It is for girls aged 4–18 with selective entry at ages 4+, 7+, 11+ and 16+ (Sixth Form).
Key information. Age range: 4 – 18 years. 943 pupils. Day only (no boarding) Fees include most co-curricular activities and compulsory day trips; stationery, textbooks and scientific materials; membership of the GDST Alumnae Network for Sixth Form leavers. It has over 950 pupils, including over 180 in the Sixth Form and 265 in the Junior School. Entry is competitive: at 4+ and 7+ to the Junior School, and 11+ and 16+ to the Senior School. Admissions: One form of 24 girls is admitted via assessment at 4+. A further form is added at 7+. Girls in the Junior School automatically move up to the Senior School, removing the pressure of the 11+. The school takes great care to select girls most likely to thrive at the school long-term.
