23 apr 2022 · The Wedding Present’s six definitive songs: ‘My Favourite Dress’ (1987) Whether it be the album or the 7″ version, ‘My Favourite Dress’ is a classic, and one of the ultimate Wedding Present songs. If I had to choose, though, I would argue that the version on 1987’s George Best is the best iteration.

This absolute beast of an album boasts a great catalogue of songs, with many worthy of being singles (which is fitting considering they were all released as singles). It was a great journey throughout 2022 as the singles kept coming and coming and it's satisfying to see them all put together now.

During 2012, The Wedding Present toured a set which usually featured the whole of Seamonsters, performed live and in album order. The rest of the set was a mixture of songs from Valentina and the back catalogue. In April of the year, The Wedding Present toured Australia for the first time, playing concerts in Adelaide, Sydney and Melbourne.
