Rather than give us a 3rd person objective narrative, Glazer and Walter Campbell, his co-writer, want us “under the skin” with Johansson, experiencing the world and its inhabitants subjectively in the 1st person, as she does. The first major clue we’re given is the movie’s title: “Under the Skin”.
