The veterinary pathologist I work for (these are veterinarians, went to school for 8+ years), they make as low as 85k and as high as 100k per year. Now, obviously this is good pay (in Texas at least), but if you have 300k in student loans that accumulate large amounts of interest, then there might be a problem.
