Air Cadets in Shawbury The Air Cadets are not a recruiting organisation but a youth organisation which is sponsored by the RAF. It is open to young people between 13-20 years old (girls and boys).Air cadets can enjoy flying and gliding and can fly solo at 16 provided they pass the relevant courses.

16 ago 2020 · 60 Squadron is based at RAF Shawbury in Shropshire, and is part of the No.1 Flying Training School (1 FTS). Historically, the Squadron spent 72 years abroad from 1920 to 1992. Aircraft flown include the Hurricane II, Meteor NF14 and the Wessex. The Squadron teach multi-crew and advanced flying techniques to Rotary Wing students since 1997.
RAF Shawbury provides world-class training to around 900 personnel a year, from the UK Armed Forces and international partners. No.1 Flying Training School trains helicopter aircrew for the Armed Forces.
Cross the main road on foot and enter the RAF Shawbury guardroom (house symbol) to collect your passes. The guardroom is to the right of the main entrance.
