14 ago 2022 · Marlborough College was set up in 1843, when a group from the Church of England were looking to find a boarding school. They found out that the Castle Inn at Marlborough was vacant, and the College officially opened in August of that year.
18 gen 2022 · History . In 1843, a group of Church of England clergymen were looking to found a boarding school with the purpose of educating the sons of clergy. Hearing that the Castle Inn at Marlborough was vacant, the College opened its doors in the August of that year with the admission of its first 199 boys.
