Zhou Guanyu will line up for Sunday’s Japanese Grand Prix last on the grid, and though he reckons his Kick Sauber car has more pace than those around him, he’s expecting a big battle to get anywhere near the points.
7 apr 2024 · The FIA have released their final classification after the conclusion of the Japanese Grand Prix, confirming the three unclassified drivers (crash victims Daniel Ricciardo and Alex Albon, plus the technically afflicted Zhou Guanyu) and the penalties handed out (there weren't any).

For the third race in a row Kick Sauber had pit stop problems that slowed their drivers in the race in Melbourne. Zhou Guanyu – who finished P15 – called on the team to get to the bottom of it and implement a fix as soon as possible.

Zhou Guanyu said he made no mistakes on his final run in Q1 in Melbourne – but after hitting the kerb his Kick Sauber's front wing failed and he ended up 19th and last in the session.

He is the first, and so far the only, Chinese driver to start a World Championship Formula One race.
