Il régna pendant plus de 43 ans, de 1226 jusqu'à sa mort. Considéré comme un saint de son vivant, il est canonisé par l' Église catholique en 1297.

He led the Seventh Crusade to the Holy Land in 1248–50 and died on another Crusade to Tunisia.
Louis IX (25 April 1214 – 25 August 1270) also called Saint Louis, was King of France from 1226 to his death. He established the Parlement of Paris. After his death he was canonised (declared a saint) in 1297 by Pope Boniface VIII.
