  6. Early History of the Mt. Lebanon School District. In 1902, the first trolley line from Pittsburgh enabled the Mt. Lebanon area to begin development. The area was devoted primarily to farming and agriculture.

  7. The first Mt. Lebanon High School commencement took place in 1931 graduating 20 students in February 1931 and 50 in June. The new school was described as one of the most modern educational plants in the state, according to the June 3, 1931, edition of the Lantern, the high school newspaper.
