Lansing is a town in Tompkins County, New York, United States. The population was 11,565 at the 2020 census. The Town of Lansing has within it a village named Lansing. The town is located on the northern border of Tompkins County and is located just north of the City of Ithaca.

Lansing is the third most populous town in the county after Dryden and Ithaca city and town. The population is evenly split by gender. Major businesses include Cargill Deicing technology, The Cayuga Power Plant and BorgWarner Morse Systems.
Most people referred to it as 'UC Point' after the popular Utica Club beer. In 2006, the Town of Lansing contracted with the DEC to manage Salt Point. At that time a management plan was drawn to restoring its natural features and making it a place where people can enjoy nature. The Town continued to struggle with crime on Salt Point (aka UC Point).
