Murray Hill is an unincorporated community located within portions of both Berkeley Heights and New Providence, located in Union County in northern in the U.S. state of New Jersey. It is the longtime central location of Bell Labs, having moved there in 1941 from New York City.
The planned relocation of the 80 year old, Murray Hill New Jersey Bell Labs facility would take place before 2028. The new building would be LEED Gold certified. The Murray Hill location has had iconic research of various historical innovations for AT&T Corp., Lucent Technologies, Alcatel-Lucent, and Nokia.
