Mansfeld. Coordinates: 51°35′39″N 11°27′17″E. Mansfeld, sometimes also unofficially Mansfeld-Lutherstadt, is a town in the district of Mansfeld-Südharz, in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany . Protestant reformator Martin Luther grew up in Mansfeld, and in 1993 the town became one of sixteen places in Germany to be designated a Lutherstadt for this reason.

Der Landkreis Mansfeld-Südharz ist eine Gebietskörperschaft im Südwesten des Landes Sachsen-Anhalt. Er wurde im Zuge der Kreisgebietsreform vom 1. Juli 2007 durch die Zusammenlegung der ehemaligen Landkreise Mansfelder Land und Sangerhausen gebildet.

Südharz (literally "South Harz ") is a municipality in the Mansfeld-Südharz district, Saxony-Anhalt, Germany.
Sangerhausen (German pronunciation: [zaŋɐˈhaʊzn̩]) is a town in Saxony-Anhalt, central Germany, capital of the district of Mansfeld-Südharz. It is situated southeast of the Harz, approx. 35 kilometres (22 miles) east of Nordhausen, and 50 km (31 mi) west of Halle (Saale). About 26,000 people live in Sangerhausen (2020).
