Durham Cathedral Schools Foundation was formed in 2021 following a merger between Durham School and The Chorister School. As a recognition of the history of the schools, the Pre-Prep is known as Bow School, the Prep is known as The Chorister School and the Senior School is called Durham School.
The Chorister School, Durham is to merge with Durham School and operate under one single Foundation, to be known as the Durham Cathedral Schools Foundation, from September 2021. The move unites two historic schools which have a shared heritage stretching back over 600 years in the City of Durham.
