Henry FitzRoy, Duke of Richmond and Somerset (c. 15 June 1519 – 23 July 1536) was the son of Henry VIII of England and his mistress Elizabeth Blount, and the only child born out of wedlock whom Henry acknowledged. He was the younger half-brother of Mary I, as well as the older half-brother of Elizabeth I and Edward VI.
Henry Fitzroy, Duke of Richmond and Somerset (1519-1536) c.1533-4. RCIN 420019. Henry Fitzroy (1519–36) was the son of Henry VIII and Elizabeth Blount, a Lady in Waiting to Katherine of Aragon. His illegitimacy meant he had no claim upon the throne, but he was created a Knight of the Garter, and Duke of Richmond and Somerset aged six.
